1982 advertisement for Lincoln Centre. Note the spelling! Often miss-spelled when discussed in town it was/is called Lincoln “Centre” which is a more formal way to spell the word. Lincoln Center is obviously a well known location in New York City. Lincoln Property Company is a large developer and has been doing buisness in Foster City for decades.

From our archives we present this postcard that went out to Foster City residents to promote San Mateo’s Fashion Island Mall. What makes this photo unique are some of the smaller details seen in the aerial photo. Metro Tower was completed in 1986 so this photo had to be the early to mid 1980’s.

For years Foster City had the “Art & Wine Festival.” It then became “City Fest”. The last City Fest was 2018. In 2019 it was canceled and the city put on an event called “Summer Days“. The Foster City Chamber of Commerce was in the lead on this for years until changes caused them to have to cancel the event.
