“Foster City Through the Years” Photo Exhibit at the Recreation Center Art Gallery
“Foster City Through the Years,” a photo exhibit documenting the development and evolution of Foster City, will be displayed in the Foster City Art Gallery at the Recreation Center from Monday, April 4 to Friday, June 3. The exhibit was previously on display last year at the San Mateo County History Museum as part of the celebration of Foster City’s 50th anniversary. Features of the exhibit include images showing Brewer Island before its development, artistic concepts for the planned community, pictures of Foster City under construction, and photos of residents over the last five decades.“We are excited to proudly display the ‘Foster City Through the Years’ photo exhibit at the Foster City Art Gallery,” said Recreation Manager Tiffany Oren. “The beautiful and educational installation will be a fantastic attraction for our community to celebrate Foster City’s unique and rich history.”The Foster City Art Gallery is a not-for-profit public art gallery which operates for the benefit and enrichment of the public. The mission of the Gallery is to promote awareness and appreciation of the visual arts and showcase a variety of artists throughout the year. It is located in the Recreation Center at 650 Shell Blvd, and open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
