Few photos exist of the 1970’s Foster City recreation center construction. This year the Foster City Historical Society found some. The 1970’s recreation center was an indoor/outdoor space connected by outdoor patios.

South East from Rec Center Roof, the planter is where the modern Christmas tree is placed. Today the grass field is a parking lot. On the right you can see the homes on Lido Isle & the Lido Isle Homeowners Association which was built in 1975.
Facing East one can see the Foster City Blvd Bridge.
Facing West towards the amphitheater and gazebo in Leo Ryan Park. Note the flat roof design.
